What it is
Dog Clicker plays a short, consistent click so you can mark the moment a dog does something you like, then reward them. It is a training timer, not a treatment for aggression, fear, or any behavior problem.
Who it's for
Owners starting clicker training with a puppy or an older dog, using food or another reward the dog actually wants. Not a tool for punishment.
What it does
- A click you can repeat. The same short sound, so the dog can learn that the sound means a reward is coming.
- A phone instead of a gadget. Useful when you do not have a physical clicker. A physical clicker is easier one-handed. The phone works if the volume stays consistent.
- Positive reinforcement only. The click marks a behavior. It is not a correction and not a buzzer for something the dog did wrong.
How it compares
A box clicker from a pet store, a retractable pen that makes one clear sound, or a marker word such as 'yes' can all do this job. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals describes clicker training as marking the right moment and then rewarding. Dog Clicker only supplies the sound. You still charge the click, time it, and pay the dog. For aggression, fear, or anything that feels unsafe, stop and work with a qualified trainer or a veterinary behaviorist.

Questions people ask
Do I have to treat after every click?
While you are teaching, yes. The click is a promise. If you click and do not follow through, the sound stops meaning anything. The ASPCA and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior both teach click, then reward.
Can this fix aggression?
No. Aggression, fear, and behavior that could hurt someone need a qualified trainer or a veterinary behaviorist. A clicker app does not treat those.
My dog is scared of the sound.
Stop. Lower the volume, or muffle the phone, and pair a quieter sound with something the dog likes. If the dog still startles, use a softer marker word and ask a trainer for help.
Does it work with an older dog?
Yes. Charge the clicker the same way. Keep sessions short and end while the dog is still interested.
